Hawaiian cutlets

Tip: If you do not like smoked chops, you can change them for natural pork chops, they will be delicious.


  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 8 pork chops, smoked
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
  • 1 cup of pineapple in syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/4 cup ground chipotle chile
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 16 slices of pork ham
  • 8 slices of pineapple in syrup
  • to taste of salt and pepper


  1. In a frying pan, seal the chops with oil until they have a golden color and remove. Add the onion and garlic in the same pan and cook for a couple of minutes, add the pineapple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, chipotle, cumin, and cook for 5 minutes or until thick .
  2. Return the chops to the pan and place the ham on top of each one, cover with the pineapples and bathe with the sauce constantly to glaze them. Cook 3 more minutes and serve immediately.


Another option that we present to you is this recipe for pork chops with nopales in chilli sauce. You can give it that spicy touch with pasilla chili and morita chili. In addition, the sauce to prepare this recipe for pork chops will have an extra flavor thanks to the fact that it contains spices such as cumin, cloves and a little allspice.

Pork Chops with Nopales in Chilli Sauce

Preparation time 20 min
Cooking time: 40 min

Tip: You can use smoked cutlets if you prefer, just remember that they contain a higher amount of salt.


  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 pasilla chiles, clean deveined and seeded
  • 2 morita peppers, clean deveined and seeded
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon allspice, whole
  • 1 tablespoon cumin, whole
  • 1 clove
  • 1 cup of vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 cup onion, filleted
  • 8 pork chops
  • 3 nopales, cooked
  • enough of fresh cheese, to serve



  1. Heat a deep frying pan over medium heat with a tablespoon of oil and sauté the onion with the garlic. Add the tomato, tomato, pasilla chili, morita chili, coriander, allspice, cumin, cloves and cook until everything is smooth.
  2. Fill with the vegetable broth and cook for 10 minutes or until the liquid reduces, season with salt and remove. Cool slightly, blend the preparation until you get a sauce and strain if necessary.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with the rest of the oil, cook the onion and chops until golden brown on both sides. Pour in the sauce, add the nopales and cook for 10 more minutes.
  4. Serve the chops and sprinkle with crumbled queso fresco.

The following recipe is very Mexican. Besides being quick and easy, this dish of pork chops in green sauce is an excellent option to serve as a main course any day that you don’t know what to cook. The spicy touch of habanero pepper complements the green sauce and gives it a lot of flavor.

Pork Chops in Green Sauce

Preparation time 15 min
Cooking time: 35 min
Servings: 4

Presentation: Accompany with tortillas and refried beans.

Tip: Cook the tomatoes very well until they fall apart so that the green sauce not acidic.


  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 8 green tomatoes, halved
  • 2 habanero peppers
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander
  • 1 teaspoon of grain salt
  • 2 allspice
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 Cup of cambray potato, cooked and in halves
  • 1 cup of nopal, cooked and diced
  • enough of salt
  • enough of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 4 pork chops, smoked
  • enough of corn tortillas, to accompany
  • refried beans, to accompany


  1. For the green sauce, heat the oil in a deep frying pan and fry the onion, garlic, tomatoes and chili peppers until they soften. Add the coriander, epazote, grain salt, allspice and broth, cook for 10 to 15 more minutes or until the liquid is reduced. Chill slightly.
  2. Blend the above until obtaining a smooth sauce and cook in a pot for 10 more minutes, add the potatoes and nopales, continue cooking for 5 minutes, correct seasoning and reserve.
  3. In a pan heat the oil and seal the chops on both sides, season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve a chop on a plate and bathe with the green sauce, decorate with epazote. Accompany with tortillas, refried beans.
