The Mexican Pacific League opened its 2021-22 season with several questions, in terms of sports, if the Tomateros de Culiacán will achieve the three-time championship, and whether the fans will be able to return to the ballparks. The LMP teams are distributed in the states of Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, Jalisco and Nuevo León, each with different circumstances in terms of Covid-19.

There will be 60 percent capacity for the fans in the stadiums of Sonora

Before the next start of the 2021-2022 season of the Mexican Pacific League, Sergio Sánchez Ordoñez, director of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention reported that he seeks to ensure that the fans can have fun in a healthy way.

Among the safety and hygiene guidelines, the measure of allowing a 60 percent capacity when considering that the entity is at a yellow traffic light stands out.

There will be a process of training, surveillance and constant monitoring of the fans by the Ministry of Health in the Hermosillo, Ciudad Obregón and Navojoa venues.

Two protocols will also be implemented to follow before, during and after the development of each game: one for fans and another for employees and collaborators in the stadium.

Regarding sports we have that the Tomateros de Culiacán, retain a large part of the base that made them two-time LMP champions, however the fans know that this circuit is full of changes and in some cases “the horses” reach the end of season.

Also this Tuesday the Naranjeros de Hermosillo will receive the Águilas de Mexicali while Algodoneros de Guasave will do the same with the Cañeros de Los Mochis
