Frank Sinatra had many cars including a Rolls-Royce, a Lamborghini Miura, and a Jaguar. But the one that attracts the most attention in his collection is an austere LeBaron Town & Country guayín from 1985.

For a celebrity like Sinatra, a cool guy of this type is a somewhat strange car, but apparently it helped him to go unnoticed thanks to the strong tint of the windows.

Sinatra was a loyal follower of Chrysler vehicles and Chrysler was of Sinatra. So much so that, in 1981, the automaker decided to release a special version known as the Frank Sinatra Signature Edition of the Imperial, Chrysler’s most luxurious vehicle at the time.

The Town & Country in question was well equipped. In addition to the exterior with the wood appearance, characteristic of the Town & Country models in their origins.

Inside, the car had comfortable leather upholstery, electric windows and mirrors, air conditioning, an automatic transmission, and a powerful 2.2-liter turbocharged engine.

It was driven by Frank Sinatra himself and by the family’s accountant, Nathan Golden. In his last years of life, the singer traveled with a driver and this is considered the last car in his possession in which he was seen frequently, first in Las Vegas and later in Palm Springs.

The history of the car is well documented and there are records with Sinatra’s name as well as the warranty policy also in his name.

Last year, the H and H auction house decided to put it up for sale. Although celebrity vehicles frequently rise in value when auctioned, the K-platform Chrysler LeBaron was underpriced, selling for just over 5,000 pounds, or about 122,000 pesos.
