Amerie Jo Garza, a 10-year-old girl, heroically called 911 to ask for help during Salvador Ramos’s shooting rampage at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. She was sitting at her desk when the killer warned them that they were going to die. She bravely tried to call 911 but died in the hail of bullets according to the The Daily Mail.

Amerie, like the other victims, was murdered in cold blood by the 18-year-old who was ultimately killed in a confrontation with police. The murderer walked up to her, took her cell phone, and killed her in cold blood. According to her grandmother: “She was sitting right next to her best friend. Her best friend was covered in her blood.”

Such a fast little boy and he could catch a ball so good,” he added. “There were some plays that I would name and he would remember, and he would do them exactly as we had practiced them.” Teacher Eva Mireles was remembered as a loving mother and wife.
