Pascale Ferrier, the woman who allegedly sent poison to President Donald Trump, could also have sent it to police officers in Texas, according to Eddie Guerra, the Hidalgo County Sheriff.

According to Eddie Guerra, Hidalgo County Sheriff (HCSO) his office also received three letters containing castor, a toxic poison like the one Trump received.

He Mission Police Department (MPD, for its acronym in English) also received another letter with the same poison that is extracted from the seeds of a plant called castor.

“I can confirm that envelopes containing the lethal toxin castor bean were mailed to me and three members of the detention staff,” Guerra said from his Twitter account on Monday, September 21, 2020 in the afternoon.

Guerra explained that because the case is an active federal investigation, I cannot give details about the letters his department received. He also did not explain when he received the letters.

Pascale Ferrier, 53, was already arrested on Sunday, September 20 by agents of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) from the United States.

The woman is an IT expert and a Canadian national with ties to Texas since she lived in the south of the state and was then arrested by the MPD for a case of manipulation of legal documents.

The Hidalgo County criminal records, consulted by MundoHispánico, detail that the MPD arrested Ferrier on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, accused of illegally carrying a weapon and manipulating a government document since the woman was allegedly driving with a false license.

The charges that Pascale Ferrier faced in the County of Hidalgo were dismissed on May 19, 2020 by Judge Omar Maldonado of the 8th District Criminal Court. Therefore she was never found guilty of anything.

As of this writing, it is unclear how Ferrier, if deported to Canada, was detained by federal agents in the city of Buffalo, New York State.

By protocol, all letters addressed to the President of the United States are reviewed by agents of the Secret Service precisely to avoid having hazardous materials.

The charges against Ferrier detail that federal agents found that the letter contained a powder that was classified as “an extremely toxic plant protein derived from the seeds of the castor plant.”
