The United States is facing some risks due to severe weather after the impact of storms bringing destructive winds, tornadoes and the hail in various parts of the country were forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, according to The Sun.

The first warning of danger for residents has to do with the impact of some electrical storms that could cause damage due to fires in the southern plains. They could also cause tornadoes from parts of Texas and Oklahoma to the Ozarks.

Meteorologists forecast that several EF-2 or stronger category tornadoes could also occur, this along with the fall of hail that’s more than 2 inches in diameter. So they warned people to stay alert.

However, the severe weather alert for destructive winds will continue tonight for areas of Oklahoma and in the Ozarks. The experts will be working on tracking the tornadoes to send the alert to residents in the vicinity.

It should be remembered that tornado activity begins in April and lasts until June. However, May is the month with the highest number of twisters and this year is no exception. So far, up to 294 tornadoes have been recorded in the United States per month.

Given the storm forecasts, the NOAA Storm Prediction Center has issued a ‘Major Risk’ warning for a large part of the country after a couple of tornadoes hit Oklahoma last Monday, leaving damage from the Ohio Valley to western Pennsylvania on Tuesday. Filed Under: Storms Winds Tornadoes Hail

Experts have pointed out that there is a good chance that the weather will be more destructive on Thursday afternoon and evening in parts of the Southern Plains, Ark-La-Tex, Ozarks and the lower and middle part of the Mississippi Valley.

The predictions for this Saturday say that storms will continue and there will be large hail and perhaps severe wind gusts from central Nebraska to north-central Kansas. Meanwhile, by Sunday from the Central Plains to the lower Missouri Valley there will be similar storms and damage risk.

Remember that a tornado that hit parts of Kansas destroyed or damaged hundreds of homes and other property, injured several people and left more than 15,000 without power, authorities said Saturday. Adding to the devastation, three University of Oklahoma meteorology students returning from storm chasing in Kansas died in a car accident Friday night, according to authorities.

Nicholas Nair, 20, of Denton, Texas; Gavin Short, 19, of Grayslake, Illinois; and Drake Brooks, 22, of Evansville, Indiana, died in the crash recorded before 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
