Rogers said that in testing, members liked multi-day events because they felt less rushed. He said that home appliances, furniture and headphones are among the popular items.

This will be the first holiday season that Sam’s Club members can place pick-up and take-home orders, which launched this summer.

In a survey on holiday shopping plans, Sam’s Club said that 61% of members said they would buy more online this year and 31% said they would buy earlier than in previous years.

In response, Sam’s Club is improving the shopping experience for its members by adding more sale days, introducing more new arrivals more often in clubs and online, and planning unexpected moments to please shoppers throughout the season.
