Rico’s career began when he was still a child; At the age of nine, he made his first appearance in a television series, playing the character of Rico in “Cory in the house”; subsequently, he had guest appearances on the series “’Till Death”, “ER”, “iCarly” and “My Name is Earl”; However, his rise to stardom occurred in 2009, when he was selected to join a new series on ABC.
It was Modern Family, a family-style and comedy format, with half-hour episodes in which the lives of three families were narrated: the Pritchett-Delgado, the Dunphy and the Pritchett-Tucker.
Rico was integrated as part of the main cast to play the character of Manny Delgado, a member of the Pritchett-Delgado family, and the son of Gloria Delgado, a character played by Sofía Vergara.

Likewise, for eleven seasons the public was able to be part of his transition from childhood to adulthood, since when the program began, Rodriguez was eleven years old, and in the last episode he had already turned 22 years old.
