“With sadness we say goodbye to our partner Rafae lUribe (1960 – 2020). With more than 25 years of artistic career, he was also a tireless worker and dedicated to the protection of his herd: little dogs that found a home in the Fundación Gran Espíritu ”, they explained.

Rafael Uribe was 59 years old and participated in various Projects like ‘El Señor de los Cielos’, ‘El Capo 2’, ‘Las Prepago’, ‘El Bronx’ and ‘El cartel de los sapos’, among others.

The actor had been hospitalized since mid-August after suffering a heart attack and fighting for his life, so they reported what was happening on his Instagram account:

“Our dear Rafa has a delicate health. There is no clear diagnosis yet, however he is slowly recovering and we hope to see him awake very soon. We have been sharing all your messages with you and we believe that you are receiving your prayers, love and good energy. Rafita and the pack need us. We have created a Vaki for you to join if you want to help, ”they reported at the time.

Although at first it had been said that Rafael Uribe had supposedly been hospitalized for coronavirus, the version was denied.

In recent months, the El Señor de los Cielos series has been marked by scandals such as the alleged «disappearance» and addiction of Rafael Amaya, the kidnapping of actor Alejandro Sandí, and the death of actor Sebastián Ferrat.

In this same message, Rodrigo, brother of actor Raúl Méndez (whom many identify by his role as Chacorta in El Señor de los Cielos) reported that his father had been diagnosed with coronavirus and that in less than 24 hours they were given «the news most unpleasant and discouraging that we have had in recent years… ”.

«We arrived at the hospital with a respiratory deficiency of 50 percent, in the emergency department they began to stabilize it, it reached 81 percent of respiration, but unfortunately, it did not react positively, many people treat them and return them home to continue treating them» .

Later, Rodrigo Méndez shared that his father did not have the same luck and he had to be transferred to a special COVID treatment unit, where they placed him on an artificial respirator in the hope that his oxygenation level would increase, but unfortunately, it was not like that .

The doctor asked Rodrigo and actor Raúl Méndez for authorization to intubate his father, in addition to sedating him and continuing to treat him. It should be noted that Mr. Raúl Méndez had very weak lungs, since he had smoked all his life, although he had quit for 10 years.
