MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, USA (AP) – The Dominican Freddy peralta struck out eight over six scoreless innings, Venezuelan Avisaíl Garcia homered and the Milwaukee Brewers blew most of their 8-0 lead before holding on and beating the Atlanta Braves 10-9 on Sunday. It nearly fell apart for Milwaukee after JP Feyereisen took over from Peralta to start the seventh inning.

He retired one batter before allowed two walks and two infield singles to make it 8-2. Brent Suter replaced him on the mound and, after two fielder’s-choice grounders that resulted in zero outs, he surrendered a grand slam to center by Freddie Freeman that made it 8-7. The Brewers shook off their highest-scoring inning by an opponent this season with Lorenzo Cain’s two-run single in the seventh inning.

The Braves added a run in the eighth against Devin Williams and one more in the ninth against Josh Hader, who struck out William Contreras for his ninth save. Peralta (4-1) stopped Atlanta on two hits and a walk in his third straight win. For the Brewers, the Dominicans Peralta 3-0, and Pablo Reyes 1-0. Venezuelans Omar Narváez 4-3 with one RBI, and García 4-1 with two runs scored and two RBIs. The Mexican Luis Urías 2-0 with scored.

For the Braves, Venezuelans Ronald Acuña Jr. 1-0, Ender Inciarte 3-1 with a run scored and pair of RBIs, Ehire Adrianza 5-0 with scored and RBI, and Contreras 4-1 with scored and RBI . The Dominicans Marcell Ozuna 5-0, and Huascar Ynoa 2-0.
