Be careful if you already bought it! Health authorities have issued a recall of a popular pancake and waffle mix sold in 17 US states after a foreign material was found that could cause health problems for consumers.

The reason the pancake mix was recalled is due to the finding of possible foreign material. The FDA stated in a press release that fragments of a cable used to clean the processing line were found in some of the products.

The 2-pound boxes of the Kroger Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix being recalled have UPC # 01111088219 with lot code KX2063 or KX2064 and a best by date of 09/01/2023 or 09/02/2023, the Food and Drug Administration said.
