“Chaparreando” will also be available in Latin America at a later date and through an associated service to be announced later.

MH: How do you feel about your health after the coronavirus? Did he hit you hard? How did you live it?

Omar Chaparro: I had three or four days of symptoms that were a little strong, I did feel the power of the virus, headache, body pain, fever and then they were calmer days, it is 14 days that the virus lives in the body, it left, according to me I feel very good.

However, right now, two weeks after I finished with this disease, I feel tired, I always have the energy up and it is rare that you see me crestfallen and I realize that it is the sequel of the virus, that it does go away, but you don’t stay at 100. It is a process that takes a few months, but we are well within what is possible.

MH: Chaparreando opens on October 15. This series served for you Emiliano to confess something that you had not told him during all this time that maybe he was going on a trip and that he did not coexist, you confessed something very intimate, personal to Omar who did not know about a girlfriend you had. What was the secret that you confessed to him during this time of the reality show?

Emiliano: I told him about the girlfriend I had at that time, you remember, Kate, I confessed to him about what was happening to me in my life, about what I felt about moving to a school in Oregon and that I did not want the show to end , things like that.

On the next page we will leave you the complete interview of Omar Chaparro and his son Emiliano about their series Chapareando.

MH: Omar, do you think the goal of getting closer to Emiliano was achieved with this reality show? Weren’t your other daughters jealous that just Emiliano was on reality TV? How was what they lived? Was the goal of getting to know more about that part of Chihuahua that may not be so close?

Omar Chaparro: This show surpassed my expectations, my main objective was to reconnect with Emiliano, to get him to know me and me to know him, but apart from that I did not realize the other positive things that were going to happen in this reality show, such as returning to my land and reconnect with mine.
Show off my lands, my roots, feel very proud of where I come from. This show had many positive things and obviously that Emiliano met a father he did not know, an angry child began this trip and a grateful, happy child returned and appreciating the family he had.

MH: Hey Emiliano, a long time ago you said that you wanted to be a producer and an actor, do you still follow that intention? In what way has Omar prepared you for the criticisms that are already coming as a public figure in some way. They love Omar a lot in networks, but there are also many haters who suddenly throw him away and we saw him when he did the Pedro Infante thing.

Emiliano: He prepared me knowing that those criticisms, they don’t know much, they just hate for hating, when I saw Pedro Infante I was thinking about following him, I liked the movie, he was cool, I don’t care what he thinks, I don’t care if he had 2,000 haters who hated me and told me I shouldn’t be an actor.

MH: Omar played a part in Chihuahua that was very different from the one Emiliano is living because it was your turn for your mother to buy you some ‘pirate’ Nike tennis shoes, which even better Emiliano did not. In what way do you make him focus and appreciate a little the things that he is enjoying right now?

Omar Chaparro: Mainly that was the intention of the show, that Emiliano changed his perspective, the fact that sometimes he did not know how to thank, that there was food on the table, that he had a bed, a blanket, a roof, as if it was our responsibility absolute.

And I didn’t like the way he talked to his mom, the way he talked to me, and the fact that we were taking him on this trip and suddenly we had to choose between sleeping in a bed or on the floor, or seeing the way our lives live. Tarahumara indigenous people from the Sierra de Chihuahua.

I didn’t have to say anything to him, just to see him, and his mentality, his perception changed and he was a much more grateful and happy child.

MH: Finally, Omar, (Joe) Biden or (Donald) Trump, for this next election.

Omar Chaparro: Look if you leave like this by elimination, I think I eliminate Trump first, I don’t like the way he talks, I don’t know much about politics, but I consider myself someone sensitive, I can feel people, maybe it is very intelligent, but I feel that he is someone a little arrogant, selfish, I would go for the other, although I was not very impressed by what I saw in the debate, far from proposing they were fighting among themselves.
