MIAMI (AP) – Jesús Aguilar broke the tie with a three-run homer in the ninth inning as the Miami Marlins beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-6 on Wednesday night. Aguilar drove the sinker from Dodgers reliever Edwin Uceta (0-3) over the wall in left for his 14th homer of the season and first at home.

In addition to losing their third game in a row in the four-game series to the Marlins, the Dodgers will be without three-time NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a swollen left elbow. Sandy León led off the ninth with a single off Uceta and advanced to second on Jazz Chisholm’s sacrifice. Starling Marte was walked intentionally and Uceta struck out Magneuris Sierra before facing Aguilar.

Zack McKinstry hit a solo home run in the ninth off reliever Anthony Bender (1-0) to tie the score at 6-6. Bender struck out Mookie Betts and Gavin Lux after allowing McKinstry’s home run. Garrett Cooper had the first game of his career with at least two home runs for Miami, with his solo boards in the first and sixth innings.

For the Marlins, Venezuelans Jesús Aguilar 4-2 with four RBIs and one scored; Miguel Rojas 4-0; Sandy Leon 1-1 with a run scored. The Dominicans Jesús Sánchez 4-2 with two produced and one scored; Starling mars 4-0 with one scored; Magneuris Sierra 1-0 with a run scored. Colombian Jorge Alfaro 3-0. For the Dodgers, Albert Pujols 2-1 with a run scored.
