Mexico, despite being in a low point with Gerardo Martino, still has positive statistics in its home games, either in Mexican territory or when it acts as an administrative venue, that is, in the United States or Europe.

The Mexican National Team, in command of “El Tata”, has had 26 home games, with 22 wins, plus four draws.

Only seven of the 26 home matches that El Tri has had since Martino’s arrival have been played in Mexico, five at the Azteca Stadium and two at the Nemesio Díez, the rest of the clashes have only been administratively.

The United States, with 15, is the country that has hosted the most duels, but the Netherlands and Austria also appear on the radar, with one match each.

There were eight games so that Mexico under the command of Martino, could play in his country. At Nemesio Díez, home of Toluca, they beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 on October 2, 2019.

Days later, on October 15, 2019, Martino made his debut as coach of the Mexican team at the Azteca Stadium for the Concacaf Nations League match against Panama.

In the 26 games that El Tri has at home, he has an average of 2.34 goals per game, as he has scored 61 goals. In addition, he has shown defensive solidity, with an average of 0.69 goals received per match, after 18 goals against.

The Mexican team has three games left in 2021, but only one will face them as an administrative venue, which will be played on October 27 against Ecuador at the Bank of America Stadium.
