The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) and the entire country are in mourning after the accident that took place in the Mexico City Metro and evidence shows that the tragedy could have been avoided, according to information provided by various news agencies such as El Universal, Agencia Reforma and the opinions of several experts and politicians.
In social networks, Internet users demand justice for the politicians who promoted, approved and reviewed the works of the Metro where the accident happened. The first of them was the first lady Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller.
SOLIDARITY AND CLAIMS
Through a message on Twitter, AMLO’s wife said: “My condolences to those who have died after the accident in the Mexico City subway. I am sure that the investigation of these unfortunate events will be carried out with all rigor ”.
Yesterday, a trab located on Avenida Tláhuac and Privada Panal that supported structures of Metro Line 12 collapsed as a convoy circulated with passengers. Two wagons fell on cars at the Olivos station; the rest of the train was suspended.
WILL MAKE AN EXPERTISE
Given these facts, the head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, said that the Prosecutor’s Office has to carry out an expert opinion of the collapse of the work, for which she announced the hiring of a foreign company to carry it out.

This morning, in a conference at the National Palace, the federal president promised that the federal government and that of Mexico City will not hide anything, since the people deserve to know the whole truth. “And absolutely nothing is going to be hidden. CONDOLENCES AND DEMANDS
After the collapse of the Olivos station on Line 12 of the Mexico City Metro, there were different reactions from politicians and social actors. From messages of solidarity and condolences for the relatives of the deceased, to claims of irresponsibility and the demand for clarification of the fact were some of the messages that were sent on the subject.
In addition, several people who were not on the casualty lists were wanted by desperate relatives. The accident occurred at 10:00 pm and the first passengers left by their own feet, breaking windows. THEY KNEW OF THE FAULTS
The history of the so-called “Golden Line” has been full of complications and closures practically since its inauguration in 2012. Three Heads of Government were aware of the various failures in their efforts: Marcelo Ebrard, Miguel Ángel Mancera and Sheinbaum herself. Line 12 was built, during Ebrard’s administration, by the consortium made up of ICA, Carso and Alstom. It cost 26 billion pesos, 70 percent more than the original amount.
Carso was in charge of the section that includes the Periférico Oriente, Tezonco, Olivos, Nopalera and Zapotitlán stations. The line registered 66 failures in fixed installations or trains from its inauguration on October 30, 2012 to November 23 of the same year.
