MACHETACHE ATTACK. A man entered a taqueria in San Antonio, Texas, after being hit in the head with a machete, local authorities reported. Witnesses say that when the subject arrived at the scene he was bleeding “profusely”.
Although it sounds like a scene from a horror movie, the story is completely real. On Wednesday, May 4, at noon, a man ran into a taco restaurant with an injured and bloody neck after being hit several times with a machete.

The horrific incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. local time in the 1600 block of W Commerce, located west of downtown. The San Antonio Police Department indicated that the conflict began with an argument between the victim and the suspect.
After the suspect attacked him, the victim ran to the nearest commercial establishment, which turned out to be the Las Delicias Tacos taqueria. He had a head injury and was covered in blood when he came in asking for help.
He was struck 3 or 4 times with the machete
Witnesses confirmed the facts and told the local police that when the man arrived he was “bleeding profusely,” reported KENS5. The subject was hit with a machete “three or four times” in the back of the head, authorities detailed.
“I don’t know why, but we see a lot of machetes,” an official from the San Antonio Police Department told the local media matter of factly. The victim was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Chasing the suspect
They chased the suspect into a nearby creek, KIRO7 reported. Later, the local authorities confirmed that they had a person in custody, but they did not say who it was or detail whether it was the alleged aggressor or someone else involved in the attack.
For now, the San Antonio police have not been able to locate the weapon used to attack the victim. Authorities believe the suspect may be a homeless person wandering the area, according to Fox San Antonio. They have not yet offered more details.
