- Forensic report determines the causes of death and issues a report.
- He was identified as Robert Lowery, 46 years old.
Forensic determines that the man found in the same forest as Gabby Petito, in Wyoming’s Bridger-Teton National Forest, near Grand Teton National Park, committed suicide. He was identified as Robert Lowery, according to a publication by The Hill.
The report was released on Wednesday by Teton County Coroner Brent Blue, who reported that his office identified the body and confirmed that he died by suicide. The resident from Texas, who had two sons, had been missing for more than a month, authorities said.
Teton County Search and Rescue believes that national searchlights on Petito may have helped track Lowery’s body. It should be remembered that Gabby Petito’s body was found more than a week before this man’s.
The woman was reported missing since September 11. Doubts about her whereabouts arose after her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, returned to Florida without Petito after a trip they made together by road across the country that was recorded in photographs.
Gabby Petito: DID YOU SEE THE BOYFRIEND?
Police are currently investigating the case after the North Carolina sheriff’s office received multiple calls that Gabby Petito’s 22-year-old fiancé Brian Laundrie was allegedly seen in the state after an intense search that took weeks.
Laundrie told his parents at the time that he was going to the Carlton Reserve in West Florida. His personal things, like his cell phone and his wallet, stayed at home. The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, in a statement Monday, stated that it has been inundated with public advice on reported sightings.
Through an official statement, authorities said that “he has received several calls about the Brian Laundrie sighting in recent days”, but that each sighting was investigated “to no avail.” One man told police at 911 that he was “99.99 percent” sure it was him, according to NBC News.
“He was talking wildly. He said his girlfriend left him and he had to go to California to see her, “the man told the 911 dispatcher, according to the audio of the call released Monday. “He was acting weird. And he wasn’t sure what it was like. And then … I went, parked and took the pictures of him. And I’m 99.99 percent sure it was him. ” Filed Under: Gabby Petito
Gabby Petito: INVESTIGATIONS
According to the report, andThe man also told the dispatcher that the two spoke in a parking lot near the Appalachian Trail and that Laundrie was driving a white truck, however investigations continue to find his whereabouts, still uncertain.
News of the reported sightings comes after the FBI issued an arrest warrant for Laundrie late last month. Earlier, Laundrie was named person of interest in Petito’s murder after his body was found and nothing is known about him.
