OB: “The program that’s called“ Así se Baila ”until now is a beautiful experience, they called me to tell me about an opportunity, that Telemundo wanted to talk to me and Jennifer. When they told me about the project I liked it a lot, we have always been fans of this type of show and it is like a dream for any couple to be part of something like that ”.
“But what I liked the most because they told me that it was not that I was going to dance with professionals, but that you are the ones who are going to dance together. So I loved that concept, because I hadn’t seen it before and I liked the idea of dancing with Jennifer to do something new that I had never done before. «
This is how Jennifer Peña Obie Bermúdez is danced: Are you going to dare to dance everything, which genre do you like the most, how do you see your husband?
JP: “Very well he dances very well and we have enjoyed like two or three genres, I imagine that we are going to dance many genres and we are going to have to dance genres that we have not danced before. We are open to that experience, we are learning more every day from dance and music and enjoying the experience completely ”.
OB: “I want you to know that I am crazy because you see Jennifer in this contest of Así se Baila that opens on September 12. I say it proud because, up to now, the things we have done on video, I have been able to show it to my family and she’s really going to look pretty cool and I’m next to her ”.
This is how you dance Jennifer Peña Obie Bermúdez: Are you ready to face criticism from the judges?
OB: “I understand that it is a competition and I understand that it is part of the fact that they have to criticize me, because if they don’t criticize me, how am I going to learn? . Mentally, we are both ready for that and the criticism will be constructive and it is part of the competition, Adamari is my compatriot and knows a lot about dance and they will have some things that they will tell me that he can help me ”.
JP: “I prefer to be told nice things, but I am also prepared for that, not only from the judges it is not part of the public. Everyone is going to have their opinion, but that is not why we can clearly say we are not professional dancers, we are having fun and we are doing our best. Of course we are not going to dance as well as the professionals and we are going to reach the final ”.
Do you think that it comes at the right time, maybe a long time ago you weren’t ready for this kind of challenge?
OB: “You learn over time and the bad thing is when you don’t learn, when you’re still the same person as 10 years ago. I think that there are things that your principles do not change, but professionally speaking the changes are very good. There are already other stages in our relationship, we already understand each other much more, we already have a family, we are not boyfriends ”.
“We have invested a lot emotionally in this, so you have to think things over and have good communication. If I proudly say that I have grown a lot, Jennifer is my everything and I am happy in life to be able to do this with her, but we continue to learn, I think we are at a stage where we are happy. What do you think of people saying which singer better than Ángela Aguilar in the Canelo Álvarez fight?
JP: “I felt very much the affection of the public, I felt the support and I half wanted to continue as well, because I missed feeling that affection very much. As I said before, being in front of the cameras, singing, dancing, entertaining is something that runs through my veins ”.
“But since it had been so long, I thought the public had forgotten about me. With starting a little in social networks and in the Canelo fight I saw that it is not true. I felt so much affection, so much support. That fire that was inside me was rekindled ”. Filed Under: This is how Jennifer Peña Obie Bermúdez is danced
What part of your heart or your life does Selena occupy?
JP: “That stage and my beginnings of how I started with his dad, that decision to offer me a recording contract at age 11 changed my life completely. I form my life, there it began as a dream come true for me and music will always be part of me. Those beginnings, everything I learned in those years working with Mr. Quintanilla is an inspiration to know the way she inspired me. Knowing that there is a possibility that I have done that for some young people, because it means a lot to me »
OB: “Jennifer will always be connected with Selena, when you talk about Jennifer you will always remember Selena is beautiful, the seed that I plant is still alive. I believe that Jennifer unintentionally is part of the history of what the Texas world is, it is something that not every artist can say or feel that way ”.
