“A pregnant woman, returning home from her baby shower, was shot and killed in cold blood. By someone she knew, ”said New York Police Officer Amir Yakatally. Authorities reported Tuesday that they are in pursuit of 40-year-old Hispanic Justin Soriano for allegedly pulling the trigger against his ex-partner.
Police released a picture of the suspect in the hope that a photograph of him would lead to his arrest. “It’s someone who had a firearm and was comfortable using it,” Yakatally said. The commander-in-chief of District 32 in Harlem said Soriano is the victim’s ex-boyfriend.

Young was reportedly carrying the gifts to the lobby of his building in the company of his current partner when a fight broke out between two men. Witnesses indicated that one of the men was Soriano, Young’s ex-boyfriend and the other was the father of the child she was carrying.
One of the men had a gun and fired directly at the victim, who was shot through the head. Police said Young was the boss of two other children and was in the care of his two younger brothers.

Young was transferred to Harlem Hospital, where she passed away from her injuries. According to local media, the victim had three protection orders against the suspect since their separation.
