- Sex trafficking of minors: Jordan Jysae Pulido and Roberto Santana-Jiménez, son and father respectively, brought a 16-year-old girl from Croatia to be Jordan’s lover.
- Federal agents, in coordination with Croatian authorities, tracked the girl’s disappearance for two years to the Tampa, Florida area.
- The men face a minimum sentence of 10 years to life in federal prison.
Jordan Jysae Pulido and Roberto Santana-Jiménez were arrested in Florida for being allegedly responsible for child sex trafficking.
Federal agents of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Pulido, 26, and his father Santana-Jiménez, 61, for holding a Croatian teenager “for sexual acts.”
Father and son were arrested with the support of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO, for its acronym in English), north of the city of Tampa in Florida, following an investigation that began more than two years ago.
The two men are already in custody and, according to the Justice Department, could face a sentence of 10 years in prison to life imprisonment due to the seriousness of the crime they face.
In the investigation of the case, federal agents also received support from the National Police Administration of the Minister of the Interior of Croatia, a European country, to track the activities of Pulido and Santana-Jiménez.
According to the investigation against the father and son, of which MundoHispánico has a copy, in June 2018 Pulido traveled to Croatia to have sex with a minor, 16 years old.
According to the authorities, Pulido met the girl a year before through social networks and began to work a friendship with the girl through the Internet.
Jordan Jysae Pulido traveled to Croatia on June 14, 2018 to meet the girl and with whom he had sexual relations in that country, knowing that she was a minor.
In July 2018, Pulido told his father Santana-Jiménez that he had “a friend” with whom he had sexual relations but that the girl was in an Eastern European country and he wanted to bring her to the United States to be his lover.
Santana-Jiménez then came on the scene and helped her son Filed Under: Jordan Jysae Pulido to return to Croatia in July 2018 and bring the girl to the United States. It is not detailed if he forced her in any way or how he managed to get her to Florida despite being a minor.
Since then the girl lived in the Tampa, Florida area, as Pulido’s lover. The complaint about the disappearance of the girl in Croatia provoked the mobilization of the authorities in that country who requested support from the federal agents of the HSI to investigate the case.
The only clue that the Croatian authorities had were the girl’s social networks, whose name will not be revealed, and the boy’s contacts in the United States.
Then the HSI IT Unit agents began tracking the girl’s friend’s social media accounts and crossed the information with the Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs to learn the identity of all Americans who had traveled to Croatia in June two years ago.
After more than two years of investigations, HSI agents managed to identify Jordan Jysae Pulido, of Cuban descent, as the person allegedly responsible for forcing the Croatian minor to have sexual relations.
According to the investigation against Pulido, his father Roberto Santana-Jiménez always knew what his son was doing with the Croatian girl he held captive.
Last Thursday, September 24, 2020, HSI agents received authorization from a federal judge in the Tampa area to detain the two men on charges of the serious charge of “coercing a minor to perform sexual activities.”
Federal HSI agents arrested Jordan Jysae Pulido and Roberto Santana-Jiménez last Thursday, October 1, 2020, in coordinated operations simultaneously at the homes of both men and rescued the girl.

Jordan Jysae Pulido seized an iPhone 7+ phone and a Mac Book Pro computer that were left as evidence of the tools he used to contact the girl through social networks.
The two men were taken to the Pasco County Jail where they will face their trial before federal authorities.
Now HSI agents are investigating whether the Croatian girl was forced by Pulido to have sex with other men in the Tampa, Florida area. The girl is eligible to apply for residency in the United States after having been the victim of a crime.
Until the time of writing this story, it has not been determined when the first hearing of the case that is considered very serious will be and the two men did not receive the benefit from the judge to face their process in freedom. Because the investigation of the case remains open, many of the documents are not available for public consultation.
