The Spanish-language streaming platform, Pantaya, released the trailer for the new film «Millonario Sin Amor», which premieres on November 19 in the USA and Puerto Rico. The movie stars Kiara Liz Ortega, Fabian Rios, Ximena Córdoba, Juan Pablo Llano, and Yuly Ferreira, and was directed by James Safe.

Fabián Ríos talks about Millonario Sin Amor

«Millonario Sin Amor» tell the story of Juan Pablo (Fabián Ríos), a successful, narcissistic and lonely television executive, who is bewitched by the humility, beauty, and kindness of Daniela (Kiara Liz Ortega), an aspiring actress. Upon meeting her, he decides to change his identity and socioeconomic status and moves to a humble neighborhood in the hope of winning her heart.

Everything seems to be going well, until the truth comes out and Daniela discovers who Juan Pablo really is. Colombian actor Fabián Ríos speaks exclusively to Mundo Hispanico about this new project and makes an important confession about his personal life that leaves everyone with their mouths hanging open.

Fabián Ríos Millonario Sin Amor: Tell us what filming was like and how was your experience working with Kiara?

“I was happy, brother, I think it was the most beautiful experience, especially because of the incredible story, very well told, directed and also acted. Some fascinating companions. I think we all had fun and we are already counting the days until November 19 when people can see what we’re talking about.”

«It’s an incredible story, it’s not to be missed because it’s a story that one can watch at home and children can see it and it’s something wonderful for the family,» said the Colombian actor about what it was like for him to make this new movie.

Fabián Ríos Millonario Sin Amor: Tell me about Juan Pablo, he is described as a bit narcissistic and lonely. He’s quite a character. I imagine you had fun playing him?

“Of course, he’s one of those characters that one yearns to play. He’s one of the characters that when you read his part you know what the life lesson is going to be. So that’s where I am. I love that, I love life lessons, because in real life it’s like that. In real life there is karma and the same thing has to happen to the characters as well. If you want to be a hero, you have to pay the price, you can’t remain a hero without paying a price.”

“Don’t become a hero without doing anything, much less become a hero or a heroine by doing something bad. I have always believed that a hero in stories, as in real life, has to go through difficult times and Juan Pablo goes through the most difficult times to reach the best conclusion. And it’s just that material things don’t buy love and that’s where I find myself right now, the process in my life. We don’t need anything, we just need the right people.”

Fabián Ríos Millonario Sin Amor: Do you think that this character is a bit like yourself in some way?

«Of course, I could have missed an opportunity because maybe I was influenced by the wrong things, but thank God no, after 23 years I am still with my wife and today we are enjoying many things that we didn’t enjoy in the past.”

“But what we do continue to enjoy is love, which is what other people lack, they have everything, but they don’t have love. And when you balance everything, the most important thing in life is love. There is nothing else. You can sleep with dollars, you can put dollars on your pillow, but if you are with the wrong person, those dollars make you wake up with Bitcoin.”

Daniela, the character played by Kiara, is humble and you are a millionaire who can’t find love. Does this movie reflect your own experiences?

“Of course, there’s one thing I can say with great confidence and that is that one cannot judge people simply by appearance or by what they have or what they don’t have. You know the power that people have inside. Maybe it’s not reflected at the time because the time for the people has not come and this happened to me.

I remember that there were many people, especially close people in my country, who judged me simply because of what they did not yet see, but if I had believed them, maybe I would have failed or maybe I would have gotten into a hole where I would not have been able to see opportunities. Ríos talks about the similarities the film has to his life

“I am stubborn and I like to break barriers and turn over stones where God tells me that water is going to come out and Juan Pablo is the same. He’s a man that got everything by accident, we can say, he is where he is because of an inheritance from his father, but the most important thing is that he has a good heart and that people see him for what he is.”

“But he has not been able to express what he has in his heart, he leaves everything to be able to get a woman who looks at that heart. And the rest doesn’t matter, because for him the money will always be there, it will always be there. Power will always be there. Fame will always be there. “That they definitely shouldn’t miss it. Because everything I say is like stone. These types of stories are only seen once in a lifetime and when I saw that script, when I read it, I said this is going to be something powerful because it’s going to change what we see on the screen as something good.”

“After Millonario Sin Amor, people will want to laugh more, people will want to long for, see wonderful stories that inspire one to be better and not stories that are practically out of date and all they do is improvise.
