Details are still emerging about how actor Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed a cinematographer on a film set in New Mexico, but Donald Trump’s son and the former president himself have directly blamed one of Hollywood’s most prominent liberals, taking advantage of the actor’s misfortune, reported The Hill.

Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s son, is selling T-shirts on his website that include the slogan “Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people.” The controversial T-shirts sell for $ 27.99 and surfaced online after Baldwin accidentally fired a prop pistol on a film set killing director of photography Halyna Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza, Insider reported.

Trump Jr, also used his account and Instagram to share a meme that read: “Let’s see Alec Baldwin blame the gun” with the caption: “It’s only a matter of time.” Right-wing pundits and politicians have long been irritated by the critics from Baldwin to former President Donald Trump and his parody of Trump on the comedy show “Saturday Night Live” and wasted no time focusing on the actor who pulled the trigger and pushing the #AlecForPrison hashtag on Twitter.

Actor Baldwin parodied former President Trump for years on “Saturday Night Live,” fighting with the Trump family in general during the Republican presidency. Within hours of the shooting, Ohio Republican Senate candidate JD Vance asked Twitter to let Trump go back to the social media platform that banned him after the uprising on Capitol Hill. “We need Alec Baldwin’s tweets,” Vance wrote.

The ex-president’s son has not stopped sharing memes and mocking messages on his Instagram account towards the Hollywood actor since the fatal shooting was reported. Last week he posted a meme with the caption: “That look when a gun fanatic kills more people with a gun than your extensive firearms collection has.”

Likewise, Trump also promoted his T-shirts against Baldwin with an altered image of the actor and rejected the criticism received about making ‘firewood from the fallen tree’. “To hell with all the self-righteousness I’m seeing out there. If the shoe were on the other foot, Alex Baldwin would literally be the first person to piss on everyone’s grave trying to make his point clear. What the fuck…! ”
