Faced with some evidence, in the middle of the investigation, Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker believes that “there could be more suspects, but we are pretty sure we have the two we need.”

It was Wake County Sheriff’s Office deputies who found Brittany Smith’s body in a suitcase near the Neuse River on Monday.

Investigations into the case of the couple accused of killing the pregnant woman and leaving her in a suitcase indicate that the victim lived in a tent with her boyfriend in the yard of Wendell Dale Williams’ owner.

So far, both the authorities and the testimony of the case, do not know the whereabouts of Smith’s boyfriend, so he is one of those wanted to clarify the crime.

However, the owner of the tent has already come to his defense and said that although they sometimes had problems, he does not see him as a murderer. “I think it’s a bit ridiculous to implicate him because he doesn’t drive. He doesn’t have a car. “

On the case of the couple accused of killing a pregnant woman and leaving her in a suitcase, Baker mentioned: “It is very emotional. Imagine that this is a young person, a young woman, no one deserves to have life taken and to end the way it ended ”.

In another homicide case, it was reported on January 9 that the young Samanta Zapon was killed by a bullet in the chest and the police had, until that date, no clue of the crime

Zapon, 19, was found dead from a gunshot to the chest by Houston Police Department (HPD) patrols and authorities asked the community for help in solving the case.

It all started with a report by Samanta Zapon’s family and friends about her alleged disappearance on Monday, January 4, 2021.

The HPD patrolmen who attended the report wrote down all the details of the girl’s alleged disappearance such as her car, private address and telephone number to begin tracking her.

The telephone number was the key to finding her since, through the Global Positioning System (GPS), the HPD agents were able to locate the area where the young Samanta Zapon could be.

An HPD patrol car was dispatched to 8700 Meadowcroft Drive in west Houston behind the AMC Studio 30 movie theater complex, a popular hangout for teens in the city.

When the agent arrived, he found the girl’s car parked on the street and was struck by the fact that the car was parked on the street and, apparently, with several hours of not having been moved.

As he approached, the HPD agent found Samanta Zapon lying next to the car without signs of violence and with an obvious bullet in the chest and asked for support to transfer her to a hospital.
