As part of the Golden State Stimulus II program, California will issue the last 803,000 checks of up to $1,100 before the end of this year. Later there will still be a few pending payments scheduled to be sent during the month of January.
CALIFORNIA SENDS LAST CHECKS OF THE YEAR
Authorities estimate that some 9 million residents of the state of California are eligible to receive the checks that began to be delivered in October and will continue to be distributed until early January. According to the Governor Gavin Newsom, two out of three Californians will be receive this help.
On December 10, they began sending this latest round of 803,000 checks, of which 794,000 payments equivalent to $568 million will arrive through paper checks and another 9,000 payments equivalent to $6.1 million will come through direct deposit.

Authorities in California have been sending batches of checks approximately every two weeks to families eligible for the program. Most direct deposits were sent in late October, but paper checks are mailed according to the postal code.
This year, those with zip codes ending between 585 to 719 will have their checks mailed between November 29 to December 17. Those with zip codes ending between 720 and 927 will have their checks mailed December 13-31.
The last round of Golden State Stimulus
Although these will be the last payments of the year, authorities have indicated that they still have some checks to be issued and that they will do so in January. These last checks of the program will be sent from December 27 to January 11 and correspond to those who live in a zip code that ends in 928-999, reported The Sun.
It is important that the beneficiaries of this program take into account that the direct deposits will arrive in their bank accounts in a few days, while the physical checks can take up to three weeks to arrive since they come by traditional mail.
