A video is circulating on social media where a 15-year-old young man, nicknamed «El Niño de Oro» (The Golden Child), was crushed and dragged by the bull he was riding in a jaripeo. Despite the danger involved in bull riding, teenagers and children are willing to risk their lives riding an animal weighing between 700 and 1,000 kilos for money, according to El Universal.

A terrible loss occurred this weekend, when 15-year-old José Alberto Enríquez Báez, also known as “El Niño de Oro”, suffered an accident. The video was shared on Twitter showing the exact moment when the animal crushes the kid .
It is worth mentioning that “El Niño de Oro” was a rider at the Rancho los Morros cattle ranch, a company that is dedicated to the spectacle of bull fighting shows in Puebla, Morelos in the State of Mexico. The images showing when the animal knocks the young man down and drags him across the sand are shocking.
Shocking images of the bull killing the Golden Child
In the video, it shows them announcing young José Alberto Enríquez Báez, who is mounted on the bull. When they open the doors, the animal comes out leaping. Everything seemed to be okay, since El Niño de Oro was giving a great show riding the bull.
But after a few seconds he gradually began to lose his balance. He suddenly fell from the animal and one foot got caught in the ropes. This caused the bull to trample him and drag him, seriously injuring his head and body and ultimately causing his death minutes later.

In the video, a group of men who tried to help the young man are also seen, but neither paramedics or emergency services showed up to help him. It was announced over the speakers that they would hold the bull’s tail to try and calm it down, since it was trampling the Golden Child.
José Alberto, who was recognized for his work as a horseman, was transferred to the municipal hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save his life. Faced with this situation, the Puebla Attorney General’s Office reported that it will open an investigation about these events.
The Golden Child is remembered on social media
The cattle ranch remembered the «Golden Child» on social media with a post thanking him for the tournaments in which he participated. In the video broadcast by «Jaripeyera Addiction» on YouTube, we can see the moment when José Alberto crosses himself before riding the bull, which dragged him and finally rammed him.

Activists denounced animal abuse in Jaripeos before the bull killed the Golden Child
In addition to the death of the 15-year-old rider in Atlixco, the group «Puebla animal movement» declared that there is animal abuse in the jaripeos, bullfights and cockfights. «Seventy percent of the poblanos believe that now show should involve animals,» they claim on their website.

Pedro Martínez Carrillo surrenders to authorities
During the confrontation between Héctor Cisneros and Pedro Martínez Carrillo, the latter pulled out a gun and, in front of hundreds of people, fired several shots at his rival who fell dead.
