According to New York Post, the arrest of the alleged head of the organization known as “La Línea”, Roberto González Montes is related to the family massacre LeBarón, a US national, occurred in Mexico last year.

Three Mormon mothers and their six children were the victims of this massacre, which occurred due to a “territorial war” between the “La Línea” cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel in according to the New York Post.

The recent arrest was carried out in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, according to the announcement by Emilio García Ruiz, Secretary of Public Security of Chihuahua.

According to the New York newspaper, he was arrested along with Eulalio Domínguez Alanís and Santiago Casavantes Radovich, other alleged members of the “La Línea” cartel.According to the New York Post, the Special Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Organized Crime, the Secretary of National Defense, the National Intelligence Center and the Navy intervened.

It should be remembered that among those killed in the attack was Christina Marie Langford Johnson, a mother who got out of her minivan to confront one of the gunmen. Their 7-month-old daughter, Faith Langford, survived.

Dawna Ray Langford, who was driving an SUV with her nine children inside, was ambushed nearby along with her two sons, Trevor, 11, and Rogan, 3. Rhonita Miller, 30, was also killed along with her four children, including eight-month-old twins. The motive for the horrendous attack remains uncertain for the country’s authorities.

According to the portal “El Financiero”, Roberto González Montes “El Mudo” is a former police officer in the municipality of Madera in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Also, according to the report, the cartel supposedly led by González is considered “the armed wing of the Juarez Cartel.”
